Associate of Science Degree
||Carl Giese Jr., A.S. Computer Networking, was the GCC 2012 valedictorian.
GCC’s Computer Networking Associate of Science Degree Program has produced many graduates that started out as technicians and have worked their way up to managerial positions at businesses and entities such as the Bank of Guam, Guam Telephone Authority, Pacific Data Systems, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Guam Power Authority. We continually place students and graduates with these industry leaders; people that are prepared to enter the workforce and who can have a direct, positive impact on an organization.
“The Guam Community College’s Computer Networking Program apprenticeship results in highly-trained professionals who contribute to GTA’s level of quality production and productivity. The GTA technicians in this program have combined their academic qualifications with real life working experience and developed skills and qualifications that are in high demand. They’ve learned customer care, system security, managing software development, basic IT applications, fundamentals on how to install, maintain, and repair wiring and telecommunications equipment - including system engineering design, documentation and integration, site installation and commissioning. The knowledge, skills and hands-on experience has enabled these employees to develop a more thorough understanding of our business needs and how best to meet them.”
Paul P. Ibanez, Manager, GTA Teleguam
