Register today for the NURSING ASSISTANT COURSE being offered during the 2016 fall semester!!
Students who are interested in becoming a Certified Nurse Assistant can now register for the CNA course being offered during the 2016 fall semester. This is now a four credit course inclusive of 145-contact hours. (50 hours of lecture, 45 hours of labs, and 50 hours of clinical times).
Students who successfully complete this course will be prepared to function professionally and competently as Nursing Assistants under the supervision of the LPN, RN, or MD in such clinical areas as home health, community health, hospitals, clinics, private medical offices, and mental health.They will be able to generate the knowledge and illustrate the skills required to pass the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program Exam which leads to becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Heartsaver's, First Aid, CPR, and AED (HL135) now being offered during the regular semesters.
This course is now available for all non-medical students who require a First Aid and Safety course to fulfill the HL130 requirement for their program. The target population for this course are students who work in the service, construction, automotive, and other professional areas where there is the possibility for injury.
This is a one-credit course and students who successfully complete this course will also earn a certification card under the American Heart Association.

Students who are expected to meet all General Education requirements, with "C" grades or better, by the end of the 2016 fall semester are welcome to apply.
